Toshiba HD DVD Player
 HD DVD is short for High-Definition/Density DVD and was a high-density optical disc format for storing data and high-definition video. Supported principally by Toshiba, HD DVD was envisaged to be the successor to the standard DVD format but in February 2008, after a short but fierce format war with rival Blu-ray, Toshiba abandoned the format, announcing it would no longer develop or manufacture HD DVD players.
The first HD DVD player to be released was the Toshiba HD-E1 on 15th November 2006.
